El
Bosque: This golf course was designed by Trent Jones Snr
and has been
open to the public since 1975 and so is well established.
Interestingly enough the same course designer was responsible
for Valderrama so expect a good course.
The 'forest' course as it is known is a challenge for all
grades of
golfer but even the better golfers will be hard pushed off the
back
pegs.
The practice areas and clubhouse are both excellent as you
would expect from a club of this calibre.

Mike Say's:
"Designed by the same architect as Valderrama you just know
that you are going to have your hands full with winding fairways,
over ninety bunkers, water hazards and narrow elevated greens
putting a great emphasis on the distance control and accuracy for
second shots.
The practice facilities are excellent with a 35 bay driving range,
two putting greens, two chipping areas and two practice bunkers.
The clubhouse itself is traditional in style with good bar and
restaurant facilities but of course as you would expect all at a
price."
Directions:
The golf course itself is situated approx 20 minutes drive from
Valencia.
Travelling from Valencia use the A3 motorway to Madrid and exit
at Junction 337.
If you are travelling from a southerly direction then take the A7
in the direction of Valencia until you see signs for the A3 direction
Madrid and again exit at junction 337.

The course score card and course review:
The first thing that grabbed my attention was that the course designer
was Trent Jones snr who was the architect of the world famous
Valderrama course in southern Spain.
It is clear that such a course will be difficult and challenging for
all standards of golfer but boy oh boy even the best of golfers are
in for a tough time of the back tees.
The course is not too tough off the tee and the odd errant tee shot
will not be too severely punished but with ninety odd bunkers
strategically positioned and the greens being narrow front to back
you had better have a good touch and feel for distance as most of
the greens are elevated and the correct clubbing is essential to
score well on this course.
The practice facilities are excellent with a thirty five bay driving
range and a number of putting and chipping greens.
The clubhouse facilities are traditional and excellent as you would
expect but as with all things worth having they come at a price
for both food and drinks.
Hasta Pronto.
