Mike Probert Mike Probert Talks Golf across Murcia

Since relocating to Spain in 2004 Mike has become a well known member of the ‘golf scene’ here on the Costa’s writing regular articles in both the Coastrider newspaper and the Golfers Link magazine which has a circulation of 20,000 copies in both Spain and the UK.

In addition Mike has appeared on local radio golf programmes and is also the Captain of the successful Benijofar Golf Society who currently lead the Vega Baja ‘A’ division by some 10 points.
Mike currently operates as a golf coach from the Escuela de Golf in San Javier and is also the resident golf coach at the Fairwayz golf school in Dolores.

Mike is delighted to be part of the Completely Calida team as our golf course commentator on the majority of courses available for play in Murcia as well as our resident golf psychology expert. His expertise as a golf psychology advisor is in making the link between the technical aspects of the golf swing with the mental thoughts necessary for golfers to perform to the best of their ability.

What you need to know:

Nearly ALL of the courses in the region state that they require golfers playing their courses to possess a golf handicap.

Regarding insurance it is now becoming a big thing for courses to ask for your Spanish Golf Federation card insurance card (if you have one) or they will simply ask for an additional fee on the day you play of up to €3 to cover insurance.
