Javea GolfThe club de golf Javea: This 9 hole golf course is located close to the town of Javea and was first opened to the public in 1981 so is well established. For those golfers that do not like 9 hole courses at least this one has eighteen different tees. The course is surrounded by pine forests and has a good winter climate because it is sheltered from the harsh winter winds by the 'Cape San Antonio'. The complex has good practice facilities and the clubhouse has two bars and a restaurant and is usually open from 08.00am until evening all year around.

Javea GolfMike Says: "For a 9 hole course even serious golfers will enjoy their visit and I hear that the course is an ideal summer course because of the flat terrain BUT there are good views and a variety of mediterranean flora have been planted to increase the asthetic appeal. The course designer has used stratgically placed bunkers,34 of them to protect the course. The practice facilities are good with a 20 bay driving range,2 putting greens, chipping area and practice bunker."

 
Directions: The golf course is situated close to the town of Javea and can be accessed from the A7 from exit 63 or from the N332 coastal road by passing through the small towns of Teulada and Benitachell and following the signposts for the Campo de Golf and if necessary ask the local for directions should you get lost.

The course score card and course review:
Javea golf course is situated close to Javea itself and is surrounded by pine forests which protect it from the winter winds BUT is also a good summer course because of the 'flat' nature of the terrain. For those amongst you that want to 'smell the flowers' as you play golf then you will be delighted by the work of the greenkeeper who has planted a variety of different plants to enhance the views.
The course itself is not too difficult for the better golfers amongst us and the key features are the 34 strategically placed bunkers which protect the course against the 'big hitters'.
The longest hole on the course is the 475 metre 5th hole and the shortest is the 16th hole at 120 metres while beware of the 6th hole which will require accuracy from the tee.
If you are one for practicing then this is the course for you with a variety of practise greens and bunkers and a 20 bay driving range. After your game relax in the traditional clubhouse which includes two bars for the boozers amongst you and a nice restaurant. The prices for food and drink in the clubhouse are similar to all other golf courses in Spain so do not expect Benidorm prices.
